Drops of Beauty #146

This week we honor our ancestors, at the time the veil between the worlds is said to be thin. I think of all those who lived on this land, who saw these trees, who knew these birds. I hope my photos let them know that there is still beauty in this place, however different it is than when they knew it.

My best attempt at ‘between the worlds’ and ‘spooky’:

Closest I could get to a spooky sunrise. I mean, those could be alien eyes, right? (Very early on October 24th, before the rains descended)

Or this one, with the marina lights still glowing.

This one isn’t spooky, I love its softness, but if I had to give an image of the veil between the worlds it would look something like this.

That rainstorm came in spitting rain like a big water dragon.

Taken this summer, but a spider is always good for Halloween, right?
