Hello friends! I am loving the fall colors - more in the sky than on the trees but we always take what we can get! Here are some favorite photos to bring some beauty to your day:
I love the soft pinks of colder weather. Sunrise November 5, 2023. Everyone curses the early sunsets but I LOVE THEM! I can walk outside and see them instead of trying to get to sleep while it’s still light. This was a particularly lovely sunset on November 4, 2023. The wider view of that sunset. Fire in the sky! That sunset wasn’t done yet, it transitioned to this before it got dark! The wider view as those reds climbed into the sky. The complete surprise in that sunset was the rainbow! I didn’t know it was raining not far to our north when I walked out and was stunned to see this on the other side of me (to the North) from that gorgeous sunset. Not to be outdone, the sunset the night before, November 3, 2023 was equally spectacular. This was how it started. I swear it was a giant heart floating through the sky. As the sun sinks further, the colors get deeper. And end with this before going to dark. Even posting it I can feel myself sinking and preparing for sleep. Maybe we’d all sleep better if we could watch the sunset and sunrise every day. Had a look at the moon just after it was full, up against some fall leaves. It’s almost a new moon again already, how quickly that happens. It was a rough year for trees here and many are just turning brown and dropping leaves quickly. A few are still managing some lovely colors though! One of my favorite trees, the one that sits right by the dock. You can see the white duck hybrid is still hanging out there with his pals. I’m always trying to get the crows to fly in front of the fall leaves - it makes such a lovely silhouette. This one actually agreed! I love the way the deer’s footprints leave a trail of hearts. Take good care friends. May you see the sunset and the sunrise whenever possible.
You give the most beautiful lessons in seeing what is before our eyes! Thank you!
Just beautiful! Each image so evocative in its own way -- from the over-the-top splendor of the sunsets to the sweet "heart" impressions of the deer.
