Hello friends! Winter finally arrived today and we might get a lot of snow tonight - or not, I guess we’ll see. For certain I am grateful for a warm home where I can snuggle up and sleep while the winds howl and the snow blows outside.

Sunrise January 3, 2024 - it looks colder than it was (and it was definitely warmer than it’s about to be this week)!
No ice, but hoarfrost makes even mundane objects look fancy.
My yellow-rumped warbler friend is showing you that the kinglets aren’t the only ones with a hidden “crown”. I almost never see one on a yellow-rumped!
