Hello friends! Spring is rolling on, I am trying to keep up and keep myself steady when things get stressful. In other words, things are perfectly normal! Here are some recent moments for today:
Cold, north winds blowing at sunrise on April 3, 2024 yet hundreds of migrating cormorants were flying around the lake. There was even a heart in the sky.

The red-bellied woodpeckers are extremely busy these days.
Spring is the time for loons here. So beautiful in their party clothes (breeding plumage).
The waves were as big as the loon.
But loon didn’t seem to mind.
The cormorants haven’t wanted to pose for pictures yet, but they make such a nice silhouette.

Lots of cloudy days this week. On this morning I heard two loons singing, which more than made up for the lack of sunrise!
Crab apples fully in bloom.
Herons know how to focus. I try to emulate them when I need to focus in a very still way.
Windy mornings mean more splashes! Dan showed me on Facebook that this one had a butterfly in it. What do you see?
