They say April showers but the rain is continuing into May here in a big way. The spring birds have begun to show up in earnest, though the weather has made my time with them a bit hit or miss! The orioles are singing in the morning, along with vireos and warblers. The chorus has grown and it is very much music to my ears.

That April 30th sunrise is so lovely! Warms me like a first sip of hot coffee. Isn't it amazing how the subtle difference in the curves of the neck and head and set of the eyes easily distinguish the female from the male of the blue-winged teals. I noticed her feminine beauty in your earlier picture of her this week. I have little doubt that she will be a good mother! 😊
