Hello friends! Some days I have more to offer and some days I must tend to my own inner resources regardless of what is planned. This is a lesson I continue to learn with each passing year. On a day like today I am grateful for a folder full of photos so I have something to offer!

First attempt at feeding the youngster. (tree swallows)
First attempt was unsuccessful, mom still has the bug. But you know what they say in the tree swallow parenting manual, “if at first you don’t succeed…

The barn swallows have their own baby nursery setup on the railing.
Every adult is met with open mouths. The babies don’t care who feeds them as long as they get fed!
And then they all scattered when a fisherman came walking down the ramp.

One of my favorite trees, June 24th with the moon setting behind her.
“He’s back there isn’t he. He’s always following me and pretending he’s not.” - If grackles spoke human.

Thank goodness for wild flowers!
Thank goodness for the singers too, like the indigo buntings.
Sometimes the goldfinch pose so nicely.

Butterflies are also thankful for wild flowers.
