Hello friends! As you saw, the post I was putting together for this morning went out Wednesday night. Funny thing, I had considered holding back a few of those photos for Sunday but I had decided not to hold back. Then apparently I just couldn’t wait until Friday!
So I don’t have a quote for today, but I have plenty of photos to share so I might as well send an additional post today - because really, can there ever be too much beauty? I hope you enjoy!
Sunrise, July 24, 2024 - that haze tells the story that the heat and humidity have returned, but I sure thought this sunrise looked like an angel.
“Splish splash, I was taking a bath…”
My mallard friend was all in on this bath!
Wouldn’t it be cool to be able to wring your neck like this and shake things off without it hurting?
And then have the water just roll right off your back!
The duckling family. I love this time of year when i can sometimes a beautiful green reflection in the water. My two favorite colors, leaf green and water blue.
Ducklings always look like they are smiling.
Lots of flowers have gone to seed but chickory seem to just keep on blooming.
This fledgling chickadee seems very curious about his wet wings.
Bees are quite fascinating close up.
I wonder sometimes how they see us. Maybe we appear in neon colors, who knows?
The purple martins left for South America this week. I really noticed their absence in the marina this morning because I didn’t hear their sounds. The choir is missing a singer! I have loads of photos though so you may be seeing them a few more weeks. I always love how their dark feathers turn told in the light of the rising sun.
Grackles also look so colorful when the light hits them just right.
Purple and green feels so relaxing!
Looking at things I never posted - this is from May. I love how the paw paw trees grow under the canopy of other trees!
Paw paws are so distinctive. I love this little patch. I often find zebra swallowtails there too!
I’m posting the same thought I posted in my accidental Wednesday post. I’m breathing into the phrase, “Even this will work out in wonderful ways I can’t imagine.” It applied to my extra post, who knows what else it might apply to?

Love thinking about the person who named a fruit pawpaw! 😄 I bet they saw the smiling ducklings too. I especially like the smile on the last pic of the big duck at the end of its bath. All pics of bees and flowers and our world of beauty are a treat. Thank you!
Consistency in creating. Keeping on putting it out in the world. Not attached to fruits of labor but embodying the process as the prize
