Hello friends! By the time this goes out the worst part of this colonoscopy week will be over. I am grateful for the technology that helps prevent colon cancer! I’m thankful for all the people that support me including all my friends here who commented and emailed me!
I’m also thankful for the birds, especially the crazy little boys at my hummingbird feeder who really helped me walk through this.

Defending the feeder is intense work.
There have been at least 3 different young males. Sunday I watched an hour-long battle between two of them. There was a lot of energy expended and no one actually made it to the feeder.
I wish I knew crow language. They are always so busy and I feel like their language would have a lot of satire in it.
While I was taking his picture, his friend photo bombed us.

Interesting choice - I don’t see herons land on the buoys very often.
Such a graceful landing though!
And that’s why herons don’t land on the buoys…they tip them over! He was only on that buoy for a minute. The youngster will learn!

Chimney swift zooming through the air. I think they look like boomerangs, and they are also called “flying cigars”.
I rarely get to see chimney swift tails, but look how he uses that tail to turn on a dime!

Personally, I’m hoping this week to just get back to feeling “normal” in my body this week. It’s amazing how much I appreciate “normal” even when normal is not perfect!
