This little song just randomly started playing on Apple Music when I opened my computer to create this post tonight. I’ve never heard it before but I loved it - and if that’s not spirit at work, I don’t know what is! Using technology to give me just the thing, right when I needed it!

The cold is coming in now for real and we are going from unseasonably warm to unseasonably cold. I’ll be breaking out the full winter clothes this week! Meanwhile, here are a few beauties for this week:

I’ve been taught to identify a Bonaparte’s gull from a distance by the “leading white edge” on the top of the wing. Can you see it (barely) here?

Killdeer was like hey, buddy, watch where you’re going!

That was close. I think I’ll walk over by the lady with the camera, she’s a little safer than these pink-legged gull friends.

Three of a kind. I love Bonaparte’s gulls with their dove-like appearance, stylish pink legs, and moxie that’s way bigger than their bodies.

Speaking of moxie, the kingfisher’s were once again having a “discussion”.

Mr. kingfisher, screaming by me like a fighter jet.

I thought there were two kingfishers until this one came shooting by me and I realized there were at least three.

Another foggy morning, this was November 11, 2024.

Juvenile cormorant, buzzing the tower. Notice the gray on the head and neck, which is why I believe it’s a juvenile.

Bluebirds don’t seem to mind when it gets cold.
