Hello friends! On Thursday afternoon, the temperature finally came up near freezing for the first time all week. I imagine some of the ice is melting from the trees, but we are expecting more snow overnight. I will truly be happy for the melting to begin! I always hope for the lake to freeze, but it’s a lot more fun if that happens without the streets being a mess!
I haven’t gotten through most of the photo I’ve taken in the snow - which is not that many - but I’ve got a few added into our lineup today:

It’s not often the trees look like this for several days!
That is a cardinal stare-down.
This was three days after the ice came down and still looking like a winter wonderland.
My little chickadee friend.
And there he goes in a blur of motion.
This tree is getting a lot of traffic.
There’s a heart in the clouds and I swear it has a face on it too.
Dude, you got a little….something…dripping…
Sometimes, you just have to fluff out your feathers and wait. (red-tailed hawk)
He was knock-knock-knocking right above me. (downy woodpecker)
Ice is really beautiful - and I prefer the kind on the edge of the lake to the kind on the streets and power lines!
I love all the textures and twinkle lights.
