“Softest of mornings, hello. And what will you do today, I wonder, to my heart?” - Mary Oliver, “Softest of Mornings”
Hello friends! Well it finally happened, the ice finally melted. Fear not though, I have several hundred ice photos - though I will never post them all, but we have more posts here before I’m through. So without further ado, here we go! Today I’m introducing another special guest, the scaup. I honestly don’t know if they were greater scaups, lesser scaups or a mix of both but thankfully the camera doesn’t care!
Karen, I count on you to be another pair of eyes for me to see a part of the world I wouldn’t see otherwise and am grateful. That’s the thing about all of us describing the facet we see of this beautiful, multi-faceted diamond we call life. We are all richer for it. Thank you.
So, about those feathers. What surface were they on and how did they indent it? Isn’t denting a surface contrary to the nature of feathers?
