We’re back today with the adorable hooded mergansers. I just have so many photos it’s hard to choose! Let’s start with some of the funnier ways the males can use that hood:

While the boys were busy throwing their head around, the ladies were busy fishing.

“Sorry boys, this one’s mine. You’ll have to catch your own fish.”

Annoyed or determined?

She caught hers and posed for the camera.

Hooded mergansers are just so much fun! I feel so lucky to have had a few days with them. It’s never a given! I also still have lots of ice photos to share. Ice is just infinitely fascinating to me!

The movement in this is amazing!
