Mid-week photo break with some favorites from this week. My social media links are now on the main page here too (progress for me in making this a “real” page)!

Here’s a series that shows how a sunrise can evolve and change, starting about 20 minutes before sunrise and ending a few minutes after. On social media I spread these out, because not every morning is photogenic. If I’d been a little earlier, there were some darker pinks too but my bed was a little too warm and snuggly.

And here are a few of the birds gracing my mornings the last few days.

One of our resident bald eagles. I always consider it to be HER lake.
A first year bald eagle - eagle migrants are starting to arrive!
A common loon flew overhead, calling the whole time. I don’t think that’s ever happened to me before! I LOVE the sound they make!
One Franklin’s gull and a bunch of ring-billed gulls. The ring-billed population will increase for winter.
Sweet deer sharing the cove with me
So soon the leaves will all be off the trees
Love the little pied-billed grebes

Have a good week all!

Gorgeous sunrise, thank you ~

I love the sound of Loons too.

and I really love that sweet deer and all the colors around her. I'm passionate about the fall and winter pastels: the grays, the pinks and lavenders, the pale yellow and the light green.
