The sweet little semi-palmated sandpipers just deserve their own post. I try so hard to curate my photos and only post a few, but they were just so delightful and so generous to the photographer! Hope you enjoy a few extra photos this week.
These two were in “breeding plumage” where the four the day before were not. In breeding plumage their bill and legs are very black and they have beautiful orange colors in their feathers. In their fall plumage their legs are a bit more green and they are more black and white. It’s amazing to think of all these tiny feathers changing twice a year.
