I delight in the birds I see in my new home on the east coast. My home is in a migratory zone, so I get happy when I see the egrets, cormorants, ospreys, and others return. The Common Loon hangs out with me over winter as do the little sandpipers. I am not as versed in the different varieties, so I enjoy your photos and knowledge of the birds. You have a similar way of observing the world. Kindred spirits? I think so. Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful! What type of photographic equipment do you use? Love the brown thrasher audio. Did you record it on your phone?

Thank you David! I did record the brown thrasher on my phone. My phone does a much better job with audio than my camera does. I don’t record a lot of video with my camera because it’s not great at it and it’s kind of hard to hand hold it. I rarely have a tripod with me. I use my phone a lot of times for Sunrise and landscape photos as well. For everything else I have a Nikon D500 with a 300 mm lens.

Beautiful work. Thank you for sharing. My problem is capturing the small song birds like the golden crowned kinglet. I had to use a freebie pic off the web but yours was perfect! Btw I recommended your post on my journal today. Keep up the great work!

Thank you! The little song birds are hard because they zip all around in the bushes. Just takes patience and practice. I've been out taking photographs almost every day for 11 years now!
