Sometimes I can’t help myself. I need to go back for a second look.

With all the blistering discussions going on about the ghastly old man in France and what he did to his wife, it’s comforting to be reminded that there are a few species out there where the females are the bad guys: the preying mantis, the black widow, the . . . Kind of cold comfort, actually.

Sending prayers and healing energy, whom I think I "know" from her posts to ODD and KD. She seems like a lovely person and already a friend of sorts. I wish her well.

I never thought of the fall transition/migration being so much slower. Thank you. That is what I am feeling and it actually feels luscious. Slowing down has so many benefits that I couldn't even consider when I was younger.

What an amazing sunrise you captured, as well as all of the birds and insets. Praying mantis is one of my favorites and their camouflage is remarkable. Beautiful photos as always.

As always, thank you Karen.
