Oh my goodness! That's exactly what my bird obsessed son used to say when our swallows arrived. 🐦🐦🐦

Yes, great to feel like a child again and be so excited about nature! I feel it too but numbers are right down here. I think we only had two pairs last year. We used to get housemartins too but no more.

Did you listen to the Karen song?!? :)

Gosh, I love the stories about all the birds that arrive there. You're teaching me a lot about the migration of birds. Very cool! And the dog, so cute!

crazy me--I didn't know swallows make it to Kansas City, thought it was just a California thing. San Juan Capistrano, home of the swallows!

lol! So then I had to look up the swallows of San Juan Capistrano, to discover they are cliff swallows. We have cliff swallows here too! In fact, there’s a very large group that nest under one of the bridges on the outer edge of the park. Several hundred of them usually!

Wonderful Karen! Gorgeous images too! Swallows, especially barn swallows, hold a special place in me--many years ago I wrote in my first book that I gauge my life by the swallows that their seasonal comings and goings not only make me feel the weight of time, but they cue me to the passage of time. Thanks for reminding me of this with your enthusiasm for these wonderful birds...
