Hello friends! Today has been much busier than I thought with more than its share of waves. There’s been lots of beauty lately to share so I will let the photos do all the talking!

Sunrise August 12, 2023

When you’re taking photos of delightful cedar waxwings and all the sudden you see this bright yellow in your camera lens - a prothonotary warbler! Always a treat! I was told they are sometimes called “swamp candles” and you can see how they would light up dark places!

First of the fall migrants, there have been egrets flying around mostly in the far reaches of the lake. Every once in a while one comes a little closer though!

Sometimes you get what you cry out for…

…especially if you are a young eastern kingbird and mom is still around.

WIth all the rain we’ve had, there are plenty of dragonflies.

The two boys are so comfortable napping on the dock.

Poor mama bunny, she spends ALL her time running from her mate.

This is how the energy felt to me today, all choppy and churned up. A disturbance in the force…is it always like this?

Just need to find peace like this dragonfly.
