I always want to share back. Yesterday we unexpectedly saw two pairs of sandhill cranes that aren’t usually around this time of year. (Once you learn their call, you always know when they are around.)
It’s like spy reports from our different parts of the world! My wife and I both love the wild things that live around us. It’s way more interesting to gossip about our wild neighbors than to read the magazines full of gossip at checkout counters at the store.
Which reminds of a ruffed grouse hen standing in the middle of the our dirt road a couple nights ago. I waited and watched her until she decided to sneak off the road into the undergrowth.
