Hello friends! On the way home from farm share pickup tonight I was watching the huge flocks of blackbirds over the fields and I just had to stop and take some video. Twice some very friendly police officers stopped to make sure I was ok! That made me chuckle, realizing that most people would not be running around on the edge of fields with their phone. Other than wishing I had worn a coat, I was totally fine, but how kind of them to check on me!
November 16 sunset - but that was a tiny fraction of the blackbirds!
It was amazing and I will have video for you soon enough. I’m still trying to warm myself up two hours later but it was totally worth it! Meanwhile, here are some fall colors from the past two weeks:
Red leaves against those clouds, I had to stop and take that photo!
With the latest software release, my iPhone 13 zoom lens can take even more incredible shots!
And it can now do macro shots too! It’s great to get a new tool without having to buy anything!
What a difference a few days can make - this was November 12…
Leaves are really amazing.
I could look at them for hours. It almost looks like skin up close.
The leaves have now fallen from the maple trees but plenty of seeds remain and this makes the birds happy!
Leaves can look like stained glass too.
The lovely trees I walk by on my way to the dock.
One of my favorite trees, though I missed her best color I think.
Yes, I have a lot of pictures of leaves - because LOOK AT THAT!
One way to catch a photo of a falling leaf - find one that got snagged by a branch!
I wish I could take time lapse video of a leaf changing!
Caught that one in the air!
And this one too!
One for my Canadian friends.
Take good care friends. When you see something amazing, stop for a moment to take it in.

As always, a wonderful way to start the day, Karen! Yes, those close ups of the leaves do look like skin. One way to get warm quick is to throw a blanket in the dryer while you make a cup of hot cocoa. Then wrap up in the warm blanket and sip the hot cocoa and feel snug and warm in no time at all.
Thank you for making me laugh! I have a similar story, except that I wasn’t running, and except I wasn’t in a field(I was at the shoreline) and the police who showed up all had rifles ! Something to do with me lying down in the tall grass with a camera with a long lens WITH a hood on it that made it look even bigger all while I was on a military base!
