As always, a wonderful way to start the day, Karen! Yes, those close ups of the leaves do look like skin. One way to get warm quick is to throw a blanket in the dryer while you make a cup of hot cocoa. Then wrap up in the warm blanket and sip the hot cocoa and feel snug and warm in no time at all.
Thank you for making me laugh! I have a similar story, except that I wasn’t running, and except I wasn’t in a field(I was at the shoreline) and the police who showed up all had rifles ! Something to do with me lying down in the tall grass with a camera with a long lens WITH a hood on it that made it look even bigger all while I was on a military base!
Omg, I can so picture that!! The kicker is "on a military base". Several years ago (pre-pandemic but post Trump election) I was sitting in my car on the side of the road photographing an owl when I saw a whole bunch of police cars and police motorcycles go by on the other side. They u-turned and came up towards me with sirens and lights. Apparently someone had called in a sniper on the side of the road and they were checking it out, but thankfully when they went by on the other side they saw it was just a camera.
