Glimmers are tiny moments that bring joy or spark ease, relaxation, safety, connection or a feeling that the world is OK even for a fleeting moment. - Deb Dana
Hello friends! It’s a dreary, rainy afternoon here and I’m looking for the sunshine in my photos I think. Maybe you need it too? Here are some photos to hopefully brighten your day:
Take good care friends. May your weekend bring ease, joy, and something that fills your heart and spirit.
I love to see wings frozen in motion when the mechanics of flight are visible, especially on larger birds. It’s a special kind of seeing where understanding how wings work only adds to the beauty of a flying bird, instead of a clinical understanding where the beauty is left out and only a lifeless relic remains. It reminds of something C.S. Lewis wrote in his book “That Hideous Strength,” about how we cannot understand a living thing simply by dissecting it:
“The very experiences of the dissecting room and the pathological laboratory were breeding a conviction that the stifling of all deep-set repugnances was the first essential for progress.”
Your bird shots are always great, but I really like your sunrises and sunsets!
Ah Karen. Where do you find the time?
