These are beautiful. I sometimes wish I could be a morning person, so I could see the sun as it begins its ascent. Instead, I have to wait all day for the brilliant sunsets that somehow never translate their brilliance to my iPhone camera. I love your photos and your words. Thank you.
Someone has to watch all the sunsets too! I've actually been taking almost all of the sunrises on my iPhone, but it took me a while to figure out how. I use the Lightroom app to actually take the photos because the default iPhone app tends to over-contrast everything and that's the exact opposite of what you need when looking into a sunrise or sunset. The contrasts are already extreme. So when I edit those I actually take down the highlights and raise the shadows. Lightroom doesn't over contrast so badly, allows me to make some pre-shot adjustments, and makes it easy for me to quickly make the edits. My camera will still do a slightly better job but it sure is nice not to have to carry two cameras most of the time. (I have an iPhone 13 Pro, so I'm not as sure about models prior to that.)
No way to rush through these beauties. Each one stops me and says take a minute and take a deep breath. Thank you for sharing your treasures and very wonderful talent Karen.
Take a moment to celebrate the skies today - here's some stunning photography to get you started! :)

Thank you Kathryn!
It really shows how each and every day is a brand new day! The series demonstrates their uniqueness — like snowflakes.
Thank you Lauren
