So lovely! I like the way the "missing sun" in the first photo gives you this pastel-frosted world :) And the winter birds are just perfect. I so enjoy the way they are oblivious to the weather as we experience it - just as bright and busy as ever!
They are all little fluff balls now! Do you have quail? I think they are my favorite winter birds. They are definitely fluff balls in the winter, but with really good posture when they run on their short little legs. I often see them running across a frozen pond near where my wife works, but the ice isn't easy for them. I see them skid, slip and tumble as they rush from shore to shore. I think they gave up on dignity long ago.
I think theoretically we have quail, but I've never seen one. I used to know people who went out to the country to quail hunt so maybe they just aren't in this close to the city.
