Beautiful photos - especially the icy Duck footprints. Those are amazing. We are supposed to get a big snowfall up here in the Ottawa Canada area this weekend and I am looking forward to my Saturday and Sunday Nature Hikes!
Oh Karen you do knock my socks off with your wonderful pictures! Love the first picture so much. I can hear the quiet. And fungi turning into butterflies is also speaking to me. These are all wonderful winter pics! I enjoy looking at them while listening to classical music. Stretch out in your 4 days of rest.
Possibly more coming Karen. We had little more than inches until 5 days ago when 18” arrived. This mornings forecast is another 18” this weekend. 5-6 feet at the ski areas. I have prepared for the most important part of the storm by ensuring camera batteries are charged.
Right, the batteries are charged! Unfortunately we are about to get into -35 F wind chills the next four days and I'm not sure I'm up to it, even though I'm sure the lake will be freezing and it's always amazing when it does.
Wow!!! Crazy weather… and also going to be so cold for the Chiefs game 😳🥶🥶🥶🏈🏈. And this cold is dipping down to my territory too😳🙄🥶🥶🥶 we are forecast for wintery mix on Tuesday🤷♀️🤷♀️. Hope we don’t have any busted water pipes.. they just don’t build houses down here for this weather🙄🙄🙄. Lovely pictures and glad you have park nearby. It looks beautiful ❤️😍🥶❄️❄️❄️. Love your trees❤️🌳🌲
Beautiful photos. Looks like my plans for the day are similar to yours. I’m watching SNOW! fall fast and furious as I eat breakfast at the kitchen table. We may get close to a foot by tomorrow night! I am ecstatic ♥️❄️♥️.
I adore your willow tree! And your Charlie Brown tree! So much loveliness! Enjoy your winter "dream time." And try one of those healthy one-pot Mediterranean meal recipes I sent you. Sounds perfect on a cold day!
Beautiful ! I have to be really honest, I don't enjoy winter as much as I did when I was a youngling ( 65 + ). I DO remember my father making snowcreme, though.
I have lived in the Metro Nashville area for the last 15 - 16 years & a winter here is about like Siberia. I keep thinking about hibernating until MAY.
I'm so jealous of your snow!! 💜
Yeah, well it’s come with a few days below zero so don’t be too jealous.
haha! I'm sure, but I'd still like to try it. :)
I’ll be thinking of you and everyone in Missouri enduring this brutal weather 🥶🥶❄️❄️😳😳

Oh great! Enjoy! We are about to enter temperatures that are too cold for me I think. Possibly breaking cold records the next 4 days.
I love fungi!
They are so interesting!

Thank you Sandy! I love that, listening to classical music!

Thank you Lauren!
So we all
Have the innate power
To self resonate.
Birds sing to one another
Because they already knew
Some of the melodies
And were able to return the songs,
Or new interpretations,
Breathing them back
Into the air
So become a bird
And sing your notes.
Beautiful! Thank you!
Oh wow Karen, we never get snow like that in the uk anymore, it turns straight to sludge! 🙏💫
Sludge and mud is not as much fun for sure!

I enjoy it more than I did a decade ago before I had a camera - and less than when I was a kid!
