I hope you also found the Cornell eBird app . So much fun !
Anyone not familiar; another wonderful free app that will allow you to explore ‘hotspots’ in your area that other ‘watchers’ have listed. Also, you will be able to create your own list of sitings , and it has a step by step explanation on how to use the app. A great tool for families to explore and , a perfect reason to ; ok, follow along with me.
Open you front door. Step outside . And , go for a walk…
I remember the old saying that March comes in like a lion and out like a lamb. Maybe you could show us some of the ways that nature proves this true — both assertive and gentle. March may not be a good-looker, but perhaps she has other attributes. 😉
I agree with you, the little Tufted Titmouse has an unbelievably loud song.
This time of year , I start my walk by turning on my Merlin-Cornell lab app, I double checked the Titmouse! (for anyone unfamiliar, hurry up and get this free app for your iPhone to identify birds and their calls).
Great intro to spring!
Except I’m scoping out the weather maps and hoping for a snow storm here in Vt.
I love Merlin Sound ID! I discovered it last year. I pull it out when I'm not sure of a sound so I can learn the sounds - and often it hears something I can't too!
Beautiful… yes, spring is bursting with song here too❤️😍👍
Yay! Thank you Sharon!
A wonderful post, Karen. The songbirds are very special. It's just magical how spring lights up with their song.
Thank you Jeffrey! I am always so ready for them when they arrive!

I've been posting to eBird for 10 years. :)

Ours came in like a lamb so I hope we don't get the lion. She certainly has lots of attributes! Thank you Lauren!
My morning coffee slide show. Thank you for your attention to the landscape around you.
Thank you Sue!
These are wonderful!!! That moon! And that sweet meadowlark--I can almost hear him! :D
Thank you Roxy!
The photo of the moon reflected in the pond is magical.
Thank you Sharon!
