Well friends, we made it through the eclipse. I was working so no eclipse photos here. We were only in about 90% eclipse, no “totality” experience this time around, but it was strange to notice how dark it got in my house and yet as I looked to the windows it looked like full daylight outside. All morning I kept encountering surprisingly high emotions and drama - and wanting to say like Taylor Swift would, “You need to calm down.”
The birds on the other hand thought it was a fine morning to migrate, and the first terns and Bonaparte’s gulls were flying over the lake. They didn’t come as close as I would have liked, so I will still be hoping for photos as this migration progresses. I also so my first orange-crowned warbler. Times they are a-changing for sure.
Here are some favorite photos for today, while I work to catch up on processing the rest of the photos I have taken!
How is your week going? How was your eclipse experience?
