Hello friends. Between fireworks, flood warnings, and my anxious mind I have not gotten enough sleep this week. I am beyond tired, so today I am resting and tomorrow I might be resting too.
Meanwhile, here are some moments of beauty for your day:

Mrs. purple martin catching bugs.
Mr. Purple Martin was like, “hey, take my photo too”.
Baby bluebird exploring the world.
I’m still hearing the bell’s vireo in the neighborhood.
Good day to be a heron.
Unlucky day to be that fish.
Tree swallow giving me a close-up of those claws - small but clearly pointy!
Baby horned lark - you can see the start of his little horns!
Gotta shake up those feathers, especially when they get wet.
So grateful for even a small bit of nature in my neighborhood! The main road to the lake washed out last week and even more are under water now. Ready for things to dry out. (Sunrise, June 29, 2024)
Orange-winged angel, aka Baltimore oriole. The orioles have lots of young one they are chasing around now.

Wow… didn’t realize you had so much rain that it washed out the lake road 😳😢. We need some of that rain down here in Texas… at least we are getting a break from the triple digit heat today.
