So much beauty and good stuff in this post! Loving it all. Thank you for your narration too. I certainly needed guidance with the cicada pics. I thought I was looking at some brown beetle-like bug in front of an ear of corn! 😄 We all could use a pair of fairy wings to brighten our ensemble.
Oh my goodness, are those swallows on that one branch together? That photo of the three with their mouth open is priceless. I'd love to write an essay just based on that photo if you are okay with that? It's so great! Let me know!
Yes all on one branch - and please do, I will enjoy reading that essay! The little ones are so used to being crammed in a tiny nest that when they leave they tend to stay quite close for a while.
I love this Sharon. I was noticing that the red clover here has turned brown also, not because it's dry but I think because that's what it does when it goes to seed maybe?
yes gone to seed but I don't see any new buds emerging and that is worrisome since it has been such a major food source. Will deadhead and cut and try to stimulate new growth.
Beautiful photos…😍❤️ glad things are drying out👍❤️. We only got a 10-15 minute shower yesterday from Beryl😳🙄🤷♀️. We were in The “gap” between outer band and main body of Beryl….at least it cooled off yesterday… high was 84 degrees and breezy 👍❤️ my favorite was the corn field😍🥰
Isn't it fascinating that taking a photo allows you to revisit the moment in more depth than originally sometimes. I am thinking about your picture of the cicada and seeing more later. :) I think that's one of my favorite things about taking photos. Thank you, these were fascinating and fun.
And the tree swallow ready for a kiss...I love it. Each of them really had a beautiful story.

Ha ha - cicadas are unique! Thanks Sandy.

They are so cute!
Loved bees in the button bushes. At home am enjoying the butterflies visit what is still alive of the red clover, small brown, orange and white ones.

Thank you Sharon. And oh my, I thought sure you'd get more rain than that! Glad it cooled off.
