Here are some moments for today:
Sunrise, July 31, 2024 - do you see the smiley face and the flying heart?
Sunrise, July 29, 2021 - “may the road rise up to meet you”
How about baby barn swallows for today - they have the best expressions! Look at that determination.
Still figuring out all the things they can do with those wings.
The intensity of that gaze.
Chipping sparrows are so small they can hide behind a clover.
They always seem to be smiling.
There can never be too many scissor-tailed flycatcher photos.
Fledgling blue-gray gnatcatcher hiding in the leaves, most of which are bigger than he is!
A warbling vireo and an orchard oriole fledgling walk in a bar…I mean a blackberry patch…
Fledgling eastern kingbird also seems to be smiling. The adults don’t smile, they mostly glare at me.
This pileated woodpecker was making so much noise and only 10 feet away, but he never agreed to a decent photo. With his loud, slow knock and his occasionally cackle, I enjoyed his company anyway!
Caught a quick glance of a catbird fledgling!
Ducks just throw themselves at the water. There is really no attempt to slow down. I little like a jet landing on an aircraft carrier.
