And then I needed it myself today (for more minor and somewhat self inflicted reasons). I'm glad I could send some peace - to all of us!

It was exactly on time cosmically. The photo of the dock speaks thoughtful volumes to me. The merganser with their reflection is a close winner. And the golden sunrise dancing on the water.

And the detail of the flicker feathers. And, and, and . . .

Have had visits of swallowtails in my garden meadow.

You find and capture the drops of beauty so well! I spent an hour yesterday watching barn swallows fly under a bridge, trying to capture them on camera. Although it was a failure, just trying to grab a shot like yours made it very enjoyable. The shadows and reflections on the water are incredible. Thank you for showing us this beauty.

Thank you David! Flying under a bridge would be hard! I tried that with cliff swallows and just about the time I'd catch the focus they'd disappear. Definitely easier when I have more open air and water.

Thank you, Karen. I'm seeing these photos as a typhoon passes by Tokyo. So lovely to see such calm and beautiful images.

Oh gosh, wishing you safety and calm Jeffrey!

Thanks, Karen. The typhoon brought a lot of rain but not too much drama. It's moved on and strong sunshine prevails.

Beautiful images Karen. I like those last 2 photos of the Barn Swallows. The second one of the Barn Swallow is interesting to see how they are using their tail feathers to maneuver and steer. Such great flyers! Thanks for sharing.
