“For things to reveal themselves to us, we need to be ready to abandon our views about them.” - Thich Nhat Hans
Hello friends! A few amazingly cool days have lulled me into thinking fall is here, but the forecast says summer is not done with us yet. September has a way of reminding me that balance is not a steady state but rather an up and down and back and forth.
Here are some chosen moments for today:
When the world gets busy or seems to spin, may the steadiness of the earth provide you with solid ground.

Your images delight me, Karen! Your comment about missing the voices of the Purple Martins reminded me of John Denver’s lyric:
“The absence of her laughter
Is a cold and empty sound”
Fall migration is getting underway here in north Florida. Birds of prey, hawks in particular, call out that fact. Cycles of life; cycles of the year. Thanks so much for all you do in sharing your images and comments, Karen.
Your Thich Nhat Hans quote about abandoning our views for things to reveal themselves, has me thinking how true that is. I instinctually quiet myself when I think a wild animal is near by in hopes that they might become more visible .... now I will practice the same quieting of self when I am waiting for an answer to reveal itself.
You do have the grandest morning skies out your way! Love them all. And I am tuning-in to your light on water pics! I I would love to have some fabric of todays pic!
