They are graceful and elegant - their energy touches my core. And while all of your photos are amazing, some of them are exquisite and deserve to be viewed broadly. They are contemplative, peaceful, capture a meaning to life that is hard to name. YOur love for them comes through. thanks for the adoration you share with us.
Karen, thank you for bringing us this Avocet Edition! It is so wonderful! They are a bird I have only ever known of through still photos of single birds. And though I thought they had a delicate beauty, I was clueless about everything else your amazing photos reveal of their other fascinations! How do they fly so close together?!?! And so easily assume their chorus line of wings up, toes pointed, everyone to the right, and down! And don't they look like exotic flying flowers, with those beautiful wings and beaks and outstretched feet? Again, thank you for everything you do to bring such a treat to us!
What a fantastic cavalcade of shots! When they are flying with their legs tightly together they remind me of high divers going into a pool, cutting the water like a knife. SO beautiful! Thank you for sharing every movement and moment.
How wonderful. What a sight the avocets are. I've just seen a few individuals in the past, never a flock like that. Thank you.
They are so wonderful! Thanks Jeffrey.
They look elegant. I guess that’s why you like it. 🥹
They are elegant and silly all at once!
Oh Karen, they are indeed gorgeous birds! Thank you so much for sharing your photos of them.
