Psithurism: the sound of wind whispering through trees, the soft rustling of leaves.
Hello friends! Really hoping for a little rain here tonight, we are well beyond dry. Despite the dryness, I am enjoying watching the leaves fall. Here are some moments of beauty for your day:
Take good care friends. May you be surprised by the kindness of strangers this weekend.

I decided until the end of the week to enjoy this. I’m glad I did. I’m now fully relaxed.
I did see the hidden acorn. I’m curious, do you pronounce it ay’ curn or ay’ corn? I have an audiobook version of Sand County Almanac, by Aldo Leopold that is narrated by Stewart Udall and he pronounces it ay’ curn. I don’t know if it’s a Midwest thing.
Also, can you dm me about the meadowlark photo? As you are well aware, they are my happy bird, and humanity’s sole purpose for existence is to build fences for meadowlarks to stand on and sing, and to build fireplaces and sofas for dogs to enjoy.

Beautiful photos this morning, love the Meadow Lark in flight.
Ironically, my sister sent me the same word just yesterday,“Psithurism”
I told her, I thought it interesting that there is a word , but I would rather use the descriptive definition than the noun.
Made me think of Aristotle’s quote, but in reverse. The parts are greater than the whole.🤭
“The whole is greater than the sum of its parts”~Aristotle
Me too! I love standing below a tree and watching the leaves swirl , ‘hitching a ride’ on the wind.
