My goodness I have had a very busy Friday. Probably best to shake me back to life after the shock of this week. So good of you to help us find our way forward Karen! Your pics are so perfect for reminding us of where we live and how close at hand reality is! Thank you!!!

I have been thinking of you, as so many have today. Perhaps over the weekend you may find the time to see what Sue Clancy posted today and find it is also up-lifting. Here's the link. https://open.substack.com/pub/sueclancy/p/the-nine-lives?r=2l04ge&utm_campaign=post&utm_medium=web

I have been meaning to suggest that the site Zazzle that Sue uses to have her art appear on such things as mugs and other items might be a place for some of your pictures and thoughts! Here is a link to it, with a sample of one of Sue's cat mugs:

https://www.zazzle.com/bookstore_cat_mug-256279428176017035

I have found the site easy to use from a customer's point of view. I think Sue would be happy to answer any questions you might have about how the items are created. Wishing you and everyone the beauty of fall to sooth the soul.

I've grown old in the Buddhist Dharma and there are, every year, fewer senior to me, but Jack Kornfeld is one of them.

But there is a Dharma far older than that of the Buddha's. The Franklin gulls, the avocets, phoebes, wrens, grackles, feathers, sunrises, rushes and waters preach it without ceasing. "Thus have I heard." Thus have we seen.

I agree, nature preaches a dharma older than the Buddha. Thank you Michael.

Another fine post, and thanks for addressing what and how people might be feeling. What's grounding is to bravely look at the facts and push hysteria aside. Difficult perhaps, but possible. We all still have choices and voices, and making a difference where we are instead of projecting what might happen, is powerful. Turning the tide happens in the tide pools.

I'm so grateful for you, Karen, and for all you do both with your beautiful photographs and your words of compassion. This space is a constant of good, and it means everything right now. Thank you so much!!! <3

I'm trying to concentrate on doing the next right thing, caring for and helping others (all beings), focusing on everything I'm thankful for, choosing hope over despair, and choosing love over hate. In short--the same things I try to do every day :)

I also appreciate the additional resources you provided for us! I will definitely tune in to both of these!! :D

Thank you Roxy! Yes to all of this. I've said a couple times, this changes everything and it changes nothing.

Karen, you are an oasis of peace and the joy of little, daily miracles. And if I study your photos carefully enough, I think I can invent a way for people to fly through the air.

Thank you, friend.

Thank you Switter - I'd love that invention.
