This week flew by in the blink of an eye, I don’t know how we are to the end of the week already. Here are some moments to beauty to carry you into the weekend:

Bluebirds just really seem to have more color in the fall. I notice it every year. Is it the change in light? The change in background? My friend here is showing you how perfect his colors are for fall.
Catching bugs anywhere they can be found.
Usually, I only see small groups of pigeons fly overhead, but the other day I noticed a lot of pigeons suddenly flying over.
And then I saw why all the pigeons were flying overhead, they were being followed by a Cooper’s hawk.
It’s really cool to watch how they use that tail as a rudder. Or really, it’s cool to see how birds were the model for modern aircraft.
Not to be outdone with their colors, my blue jay friend points out that his blue is also extra beautiful this time of year.
Eagle comes in, and cooties go out. Several eagles flying around. It appears our (very) long time resident female perished near the end of nesting this year and now there are multiple eagles vying for the territory.
I smile every time I see a yellow-rumped warbler - every time I look at their photo too! They are delight wrapped in feathers.
Mrs. common merganser arrived a little ahead of schedule. I keep wondering if she’s the same bird I saw in the marina this summer injured. If she is, she’s done a wonderful job of surviving and healing.

Flicker feathers! Always trying to catch that flash of yellow!
Sometimes a bird just literally says, “please lady, take my picture!” I’m sure that’s what crow was saying.
Leaves and waves. There’s something so peaceful about the way the water washes over the leaves and the sand.

I did find something beautiful on my walk today. Lovely, flat stepping stones into a garden. It almost looks fake, but I could take you there today.
