“Rest is anything that makes your nervous system feel safe enough for your stress response to switch off so your mind and body can recover and restore.” - Nicola Jane Hobbs
Hello friends. Our winter storm dropped some ice and then a foot of snow, and I haven’t yet ventured out to try and take photos in it. Finding myself quite exhausted from the whole event! The temps are very cold so it’s not going anywhere quickly and my body is saying it needs rest.
Meanwhile, here are some photos from before the snow:
May we all get the deep rest we need.

So very nice, Karen ! I myself would be in no hurry to become freeze dried. I love the chickadee, one wing raised. I think it may be training to be an orchestra conductor. No snow here in Tallahassee, though the number of Hooded Mergansers is growing. 11 or 12 this morning. Perhaps the Polar Blast is driving them to us? Be warm and well.

Enjoy the rest amid this cold. And I imagine that there’s beauty galore in the photos you didn’t yet publish.
