Thank you Clark! I will happily sell prints one off, you can just email me if you're interested. I don't have an online shop or anything like that though, just have never had time to figure it out and keep it up to date.
Fun photos of avian antics. I especially loved the five great blues in the tree. They are my favorites. So much so, I post my poem, Great Blue in the Rain, which I wrote during a star in Bluff, UT.
Especially love the photograph of the Great Blues in the tree . It doesn’t look like a rookery, I would think it would be the wrong time of year in your area. Nevertheless , what a wonderful experience to witness. I guess we can call it a siege of Herons. And that ice landing, spectacular!
Thank you Lor! It is too early for a rookery, but I'm pretty sure there is one near this location in the spring. I've never figured out quite where it is, I think it's in a bit of a bog where I couldn't hike back to it, even if I was more adventerous.
I really like your opening quote, Karen. I’d like to offer a lyric by John Lennon:
“When I find myself in times of trouble
Mother Mary comes to me
Speaking words of wisdom, Let it be”
I’m not suggesting you diminish your photography effort at all. Rather, hone your skills to “let it be.” Feeling squeezed for time, letting the time pressure dictate hasty actions. Work deadlines and self imposed deadlines rob you of your creativity and joy for living. You are so good just the way you are. Sharing your corner of Nature with us! Knowing so many bird species’ names. Your awareness of migration cycles, and when this species or that will depart or arrive. I’m so very grateful to read your posts. 🙏🏽
I believe you are even better than Dr. Doolittle, Karen!! You can not only talk to the animals, but also the trees, flowers, and other living things! I think you must be part Mother Nature, right (Daughter Nature?)? You have a heart for them, and you share their stories and lives through your work. We are so fortunate to be able to get these glimpses of the relationship between you and these precious ones <3
Gorgeous...I feel like I just stepped outside and wandered around in nature - thanks for the mental break!
Thank you Jack!
I always try to figure out my favorite but have come to accept that all of them are. The words so matched the images. Blessings to you.
That's how I feel about them! When people suggest I create a calendar, I can't get my mind around trying to pick just 12! Thank you Linda.
I, surprisingly, have nothing to add to the above fabulous comments. Just a question...Are your photos ever for sale?

2025, Karen. lol. And that sunrise photo.
Eek, thanks for letting me know, I changed it! It took me a whole month to do that, lol. Thanks Janisse!
Oh My Goodness! What beauty you capture! Just looking at your nature photos gives me a boost in the morning. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you Lucie!
Such a wealth of nature”s beauty! The Great Blue Heron is so graceful on ice, at least in your still shots.
Thank you David!
