I feel like I was at a concert and the final song has ended. The band takes a bow, thanks everyone for coming to the show, and walks off the stage to the sound of thunder. We stand , hoot and clap until once again, the lights are dimmed. Audience begging for just one more. And the band returns , their encore performance begins.
You get the idea.
Thank you for one more round.
No, I did not stand on my head, I turned them upside down.
#1. I already knew what I would find; bottom left,
A beautiful glass heart.
#2. The sun goes to slumber below the horizon somewhere on a distant sparkling shore.
And in all magical stories, the last page simply says ;
The end. A golden nebula encased in a crystal ball. Gently cupped in a pearlescent shell.
Now I’m going outside to play, I hope you are too.
That video is just waiting to be set to music! And the sleeping geese are just too funny in their imitation of boulders left on the ice. Little miss 'bell of the ball' certainly had the attention of all of the boys with their flashy headwear. Love to imagine their pedaling feet underwater to pull off those quick moves and equally fast stops!
Oh Karen, please know I wasn't suggesting for you to have added music. I was just seeing their movement as having a certain vivaciousness that reminded me of a musical production. There is a sort of Gilbert and Sullivan theme happening! 🤗
Love the little ships! And the last of the ice is shedding a tear as we bid it adieu! It’s been a fabulous series! I think you’re ready for your own nature show on PBS or Nat Geo! 😉
“Fine as a rainbow trout,” I like to say. Not the eating of same; rather the light reflected from their sides and appearing as a rainbow. Such is your work.
That I’m a bit quirky is not a closely guarded secret, so I’d like to offer one observation of today’s ice imaging. In the pair that illustrate your comment that changing one’s location also changes what we see, some of the stalactites in the top image appear to have names on their uniforms! The second image deprives the stalactites of their specific identities.
Ever so glad you found the Hooded Merganser video. I’m almost certain I observed the last ones, a pair seen Feb. 29, in our nearby stormwater pond. I’ll miss their shenanigans until a late fall return.
Oh! The video of the Hooded Mergansers is so darling I almost can't stand it! I was laughing with pleasure watching them. I hope everyone clicks to open the YouTube and gets to experience this delightful display of the world's cutest ducks being the world's cutest ducks.
Loved the ice pool video… they are certainly cute and entertaining ❤️😍👍
Thank you Sharon!

Thank you Neil

Creating videos to music is a whole other level of effort! Someday maybe I’ll have time to figure that out. Thank you Sandy.

Oh no, it's all good! I didn't take it negative at all, just noting it's something I'd like to have time to do!
👍✨🙂

So beautiful. The gold in the hills!!😍 stopped by our marsh last week and there were flocks of swan and geese and ducks! It was alive with sound!
Thank you Lindsey. Marshes are just the best!
Oh Karen thanks for your passion & perseverence. I look forward to your "Spring flings"!!
Thank you MC
Wonderful video! But the geese didn't seem impressed by the hooded mergansers' antics. They've seen it all before, I suppose.
lol, geese are not impressed by much. Thank you Jeffrey.
