Wonderful, as ever, Karen and your beautiful ice photos (especially the ballerinas) can have as many encores as you like, as far as I'm concerned! And so glad to know the ducks are here for the duration. I couldn't face the year without them! :)

You call this your ‘maybe’ grand finale of ice. So instead of shamelessly sitting quietly and keeping to myself, I thought it about time I thanked you for my enjoyment. Oh ! the phial of Galadriel .I said it to myself before I read your caption. My last wonderful dog, who now only lives in the shadows of my heart was called Strider. My present ‘family of dog’, is Ranger. You see where I come from. Seems we have yet to be introduced, kindred spirits of water and ice.

I can sit mesmerized , or walk miles, just to take in every nook and movement of a stream bed in the winter. I breathe in rock patterns, especially when water sculpts smooth its jagged edges. Small pools of pure art ,smooth turned bowls filled with treasures from the river’s journey. You tell a tale that can only be yours to tell , custom made by observing birds and ice .

Take a bow please, for the season, and my gratitude.

Thank you so much - and yes, kindred spirits! I spent a bunch of time the other day photographing the way the water was shaping the sand. I love Strider and Ranger!

Pure ART, these photos, Karen. Wow and thank you! Also ... the portrait of the two cooties, with that soft pinkish light on the water. So sweet. You made my heart happy for a few minutes.

How splendidly rich, your world Karen! Or since you provide us such light, perhaps we should call you Galadriel?

Ha ha, Galadriel is way above my pay grade! I always figured I was more like Eowyn - though in the end she was pretty stellar too!
