It's pretty amazing how quickly everything happens in the natural world in spring! They linger in the fall but in the spring they get busy!

Karen. once again, a deeply moving account. Thanks for freely sharing your gift of photography and prose. On this day, when we who follow the Christ story are reminded of how fragile life is and how fickle we people can be, your continued connecting us to the "natural" world is really appreciated. Thank you Uncle Bill. I’ve never heard Palm Sunday put that way and I like it. I can relate to it that way.

Thank you for the beautiful reminder of finding our tribe and dancing in the wind. You are a great weaver with words. The photos are lovely and I definitely got a kick out of the video of the geese! I was super excited to see the photo of the Norther Flicker! I found two feathers a few weeks ago and didn't have any idea what kind of bird they came from. A friend suggested maybe the Northern Flicker. After seeing your photo, it is confirmed! Northern Flicker tail feathers! So blessed!

Thank you! How wonderful that flicker left you feathers!

We have grebes here on my lake in FL, and their plaintive cry is so evocative. Truly soulful in the deepest sense of the word. It speaks to life and death, what Fr. Richard Rohr called "waxing and waning" this morning in his meditation. What Jung called "the parabola of life."
