A wonderful meditation on this blustery morning in southeast Arizona--if I listen to the wind, I can hear the ice moving...

Really liked the segue into how the metaphor of the ice helped you reflect on your internal state! And, as always, lovely photos!

Loved this piece Karen! Also really like your audio section. You have a really soothing voice. Have you considered dubbing in low music in the background? Do you ever record audio when you are out and about?

Thanks for sharing the beauty. D

I went out to our summer cottage today and we had a sauna - which was lovely - but the ice is still so thick, probably the thickest I’ve seen it here since I moved here. It was sunny, so small bits of ice and snow were melting but on the water it’s pretty solid.

I’m interested in the Substack classes - are they via the main Substack page?

🙂☀️🌱

Great edition and loved the audio! Also happen to be a huge fan of Sara Bareilles, so glad we have that in common too. She did a fantastic version of Dock of the Bay. Terrific photos!

We seem to be in complete synchronicity right now. After enduring [sic] six weeks of immense anxiety and tension that has resulted in some unprecedented high blood pressure, I am finding ways in which the ice is melting. I have learned that I cannot be the "wave" that beats and breaks the ice into submission. I go inward in meditation and breath work, gently warming the ice and reminding "it" of its essential flow and plasticity that has been captured and imprisoned. It's more about "letting" the ice release its energy of flow, reassuring it that it's safe and OK to let go and let be. It's safe to move, change, express rather than stay "blocked."
