Gorgeous! And I hope you are feeling better. American White Pelicans synchronize in part because that's how they fish: they swim in a circle to "herd" fish together, and make them easier to catch and eat. So they're especially attuned to where each pelican is in the water, and to swimming together.
Thank you - that's what I learned after I posted that video a few years ago. Very cool! I mean, they were in VERY shallow water, I still can't believe they landed at those ponds. I can't imagine there were many fish in April at that temp but what do I know?
Perhaps a mantra of "My quiet peaceful mind." would be soothing. My kitten and I are loving the dance of the pelicans! 🤗 Stay the course of treasuring and resting your body and be all better soon.

What you know is what you saw and filmed, and it was fascinating! What the pelicans know is where to find fish and how to catch them. ;)
