Beautiful words and images, Karen. So peaceful. Anticipation is the word this time of year--love the migration, though it's both about loss and expectation. Thanks for sharing!
It really is. Once, many years ago, I watched hundreds fly over. It was like a steady stream of vultures for probably 30 minutes. Many people around my area saw it. I've never seen it again - but I'd love to!
I do not anticipate that I will be personally experiencing a sunrise in the near, and possibly distant future...maybe someday. But in the meantime, I am so grateful to you for bringing a sunrise to me, in its all of its amazing dynamic explosion of Light. You continue to inspire me in so many ways...thank you.. Keep feeling better, and better.
Today's "Still & Calm" offerings are truly balm for my soul after this intense and destructive past week here in Florida. Thankfully, my cousins have made it out of Naples and to safety in Gainesville, FL. May they find still and calm there, and the beginning of healing from the trauma of Ian.
Yes, I was thinking as I stood in that calmness that many needed it this week. I'm glad I can offer this! I'm glad your cousins have made it to a safe place while they try to figure out what to do with their life now.
Thank you Saejung Lee and welcome to the paid subscriber list! Ah, you have so much beauty in San Diego! I am using a Nikon D500 - which when I bought it was the newest, hottest thing and now they don't sell them new in the US anymore. Ah, technology. (They can be purchased new but they are imported from Japan and that messes up the warranty I think.) If I was looking now I'd probably look at mirrorless. When I started I used a superzoom which was really helpful in learning what was useful for what I was photographing. I understand the latest versions have gotten REALLY good (particularly I hear a lot about Canon). I loved my superzoom, it took great video, probably better than my D500 tbh. The photo quality, ability to shoot in low light and crop-ability on the D500 are far better.

Thank you - yes to all of this.

So many vultures! That must be quite a sight.

I'm so glad I can bring that to you! Thanks for the good health wishes!

Thank you Cali!
Beautiful. Thank you.
What camera do you use? I am inspired to look for birds and beauty around where I am. I live in San Diego.
