Thanks yet again, Karen. I think I tend to be in the same seriousness boat you described. One friend said I was wrapped a little too tight at times. My wife tells me to play more. They are right.
Btw, I’m seeing a lot of huge quail families suddenly. I counted 16 chicks in one, which raised the question of how a little quail hen can produce so many eggs in a reasonable time frame. Apparently they do, but imagine all the nutrients and minerals they must consume for their little bodies to produce so many eggs so quickly. I also learned that some hens sneak a few eggs into another hen’s nest, which explains why some of the large families have four adults.
I thought of you earlier today, Karen...as I tried (and failed) once again to photograph one of the many swallows flying around my neighborhood. One of these days, I keep telling myself... In the meantime, I shall continue appreciating their continuous warbling as they scoop the many insects...
Thanks for the reminder to play. I have lost sight of that in the last few days. I have some stuff coming up this week that I am dreading. So I will adopt a playful attitude and do it anyway x
Hard for me to settle down to the keyboard while Love Train still has me bopping to the music! Thank you so much for that video! Would love to see the Dems adopt it for their theme song!!! 😅 This whole post was such a treat. To imagine you did your 'Happy As' post while you were feeling rough around the edges! How Amazing you are Karen!!! And now you drop out of focus to catch a hidden rainbow view of a spider web! So, so fascinating. I can see you bopping into your conference, camera in hand dancing to Love Train!!! 🤩
The migrating birds are gathering now to leave. Our martins have already departed, but the swifts are flocking. As are the kites. Seeing what's happening in your place is always a wonderful thing.
Thank you Janisse! The martins are always first to leave. Every day they are still here I thank them and enjoy them! The swifts usually stick around here a long time into the fall - or maybe they are migrating from other more northern places, not sure, but I usually see bigger flocks of swifts into the fall. I do love watching everything change.
And I thought I was the only one who sang nonsense or altered lyrics songs as I wandered around. Don't forget to waggle your arms sometimes while singing! You've reached enlightenment if so!! Advice: .don't force playfulness too much or it becomes work again! Who needs more of that?! It's okay if you don't get the perfect shots and it's okay to be serious! Sometimes....
But I like to be playful and sing my little songs nonetheless!
Lol, I totally wiggle and shake my arms when I am singing! (Also, that's one of the best qigong moves.) Good advice - not forcing it or making work out of it for sure. I love the song! :) Thank you Michael.
A really lovely and delightfully upbeat piece! The rainbow web shots are just amazing! The surprise hidden colors in things when you view them from a different angle, speed, and focus in life... To borrow from one of your playful songs: "You light up my life!" Have a great day, Karen, and good luck at the in-person confab. P.S. Take a look at the cover photo on my Facebook page right now. ;-)

Oooh, you are going to get it and I can't wait to see it when you do!
I was going to watch Love Train later, but then I thought why wait, and it brought tears to my eyes and an impulse to share. Thank you.
The colored web was a special treat, wonder if I can look at it out of focus and see the colors.
Thank you Sharon!

Thank you Cali. Sending you lot of love and hugs that everything works out in better ways than you can possibly imagine.

(To the tune of Some Enchanted Evening):
Some enchanted morning
Karen will see two swallows.
She will see two swallows in the golden morn...
She'll sing out a song as they fly along
And dah, dah, dah de dah dah de dah dah dah...🙂

Beautiful as always
Thank you Paolo
