Plenty of ice here now - I think I shall head outside and find a natural ice sculpture...

I wasn't able to locate any cool looking ice formations (sculptures) yesterday - most has a light cover of frosty-snowy stuff - and the weather warmed to above zero...

Next time! :) The ice is usually best when it's fresh.

i see so many things in the ice photos. i never considered looking closer at ice. in chicago we spend nearly half the year surrounded by ice but all i ever notice are icicles. i’ll look closely now.

and... your drawing is beautiful. i’d like to see more of your art. the faces in the trees, i adore.

These are gorgeous.

And, funny timing - I just learned about another kind of water rabbit popular at this time of year in Japan: https://twitter.com/SaCha1689/status/1617051276616794114

Lol - I tried to create snow bunnies but I couldn't get the leaves to stick in the snowballs. But hey, it was fun to try!

Oh no!

JAPAN, WHAT'S YOUR SECRET?

Thanks Mike! It’s supposed to snow here tonight, maybe I’ll make bunnies tomorrow.

Thank you for this imaginative game Karen! I just loved it! #4 I see a squirrel (LOL) and #9 looks like a cobra snake ready to strike! So fun...thanks again. What a great way to start the week.

Find any water cats, or any other cats? Today also begins the New Year of the cat, Sonam Lhosar, in regions of Bhutan, India, Nepal, and Tibet. Vietnam also celebrates today the New Year of the cat.

One of the topics I cut was a comment on how there are so many different "New Years" or ideas of when the cycles begin and end. I knew there were other versions that had animals and years but I don't know anything about any of them. Interesting to know there are so many years of the cat! #2 above looks like a cat to me too. :)

Thanks Cali! It hung over my bed until it got covered in dust and faded from sunlight. It's my favorite.

Loved today's version of "I Spy with My Little Eye." The perfect reminder that there is hidden beauty and life in everything if we are willing to stop and look. Life as "art appreciation." The selected quotes were perfect, too. Thank you!
