Oh my gosh Karen….that picture brought me to tears….. such a wonderful person and Grandma…. The best mother-in-law ever. She did love her “angels” so much. Our family was so blessed to have her in our lives 😍❤️🥰👍🙏 I’m sure she is watching You 4 from heaven and is so proud 🙏
My grandmother was my "channel" to an appreciation of nature. She knew trees (had a Japanese maple in her yard), birds (not a big fan of grackles, whom she considered too aggressive that scared off the more timid birds), flowers (her beautiful summer roses that graced our dining table every meal at her house whenever we came to visit), and introduced me to so many -- including her nemesis, the Japanese beetles, who ravaged her beloved roses and, therefore, I too, demonized! :-) In retrospect, I can see how much she projected onto nature in terms of "personality." But she taught me a great deal, factually, and imbued nature with a personality, too, for better or worse.
I don't know how you get that water movement in your sunrise shots, but it is there for me! As well as that shimmering haze the sun is peeping through. I could be in a bobbing boat as I take in the morning sounds and air on your lake. I love it!
I love everything about this today, and especially that it honored your Grandma <3 What you wrote about her made me cry--she sounds like an angel, too! And you must be alot like her, Karen. Thank you for all you do, honey. Xoxox
