YES on dragonfly eyes! I’ve always felt them to be an advanced alien species! Especially in how ready they often are to “engage with us” (at least it can SEEM so when they land on a raised finger when we’re lounging in a pond, or on our knee in a kayak…)
If you read Bryan Pfeiffer, Chasing Nature, he wrote about this. Ironically , we were just driving through his little city, in VT. ,when I received his post. I read it out loud as we drove. The water was still rising at the time. Thanks for your kind thoughts.
As for your lovely wishes, unfortunately we have already started trying to make a difference today. Here in VT, we just received catastrophic rains. Flooding, roads and homes ,washed out, two human deaths, wildlife (no humans are counting). A great amount of damage. Exactly one year from our last destroyer. Climate change, a tough narrative to get used to.
Karen, love todays post. Dragon fly pics are terrific as well as that one crossing the sky in cloud form. We recently had a beautiful day of fast moving brilliant white clouds on a China blue sky. I saw fish and dogs and people, and many other things evolve and dissolve in seconds! Fascinating! I wanted to provide a weekend treat of a link to Sue Clancy's free preview of her A. M. Sketchbook, but I don't seem to know how to do it. Still, it is on her substack and I highly recommend it!
Thanks for the wishes (and dragonflies). I'm leaving today to help kids with crafts at a church camp in Germany. I may not see your beautiful pix until after the 22nd. Good wishes to YOU as well.
Beautiful photos! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you John!

Lol, so true! Their eyes are huge and amazing and always seem to be looking right at me!

Are you sure that wasn’t a paid dragonfly model?

Thank you Jackie. Safe travels and may your heart and spirit feel full from the trip.
Wonderful!❤️. Your work to capture the dragon fly in flight was worth every bit of effort!
