I saw a swallow, high, high in the air yesterday evening, then a buzzard came in low. A puzzling lack of birds recently-.maybe the prolonged drought here. Those were the only two birds I saw all day! I'm taking up plant-watching. At least they're reliably there each day!

Plants are very reliable, they're always there. They're very tolerant... they'll let you come right up and pet them or sing to them!!
