Such a gift to be able to greet the morning with the gold washed serenity of the rising fog misted sun. Just lovely. Wonderful display of the wide open turkey vulture wings and the close up wow of it's cloak of feathers.
The "Omega" in the water foam was really cool! You truly have a great eye for nature's fine details 🥰😍
Question for you: is this park in Kansas City or outside of it? I'm going to be in KC later this month for a week and was hoping to find a nice park to go for walks!
It is on the southeast edge of Kansas City. The park kind of sits in three different cities. Email me and let me know what part of town you are going to be in and I will send you some locations that would be good for walks!
Always nice to enter your hospitable world, shaking away, like a wet dog, the drops of anxiety, stress, and worry of our too political world at the entrance!
So taken with the closeups of the turkey vulture's feathers and wing. You are so right about the marvelous way they are constructed! Must also comment on the beauty of the Coopers hawks feathers, wings and tail! Thanks for sharing all of the feathered dancers.
Oh good (about the echinacea). Question for you - I have some echinacea seeds and poppy mallow seeds. I was thinking I could plant some of them and see if they help fill things in a little more next year. Can I plant them now (before it freezes)? And if I do, should I water them in or let them sit there until nature takes care of it?
Beautiful photos….I’ve noticed the loud blue jays here too❤️😍👍
Thank you Sharon
Thank you, Karen. The egret in silhouette! I study your photos to see all the little details one doesn’t always get to see.
Thank you Switter!

Thank you Michael! Ever since Mike Snowden called it an "oasis of calm" I have intentionally tried to keep it that way!
Every day, Karen, a new source of awe and wonder. Thanks to your images and accompanying words. Have a wonderful week end!
Thank you Gary!

Thank you Neil!
Really great post, Karen.💧💦🩵
Thank you Katharine!
I pray.
Special thanks for the turkey vulture close-ups to you both and the Cooper's Hawk.
Your echinacea plants needed a whole season to adjust to their new surroundings, you should see more bloom next summer. Nursing a few along myself.

I am a spring planter so I can watch. And think it is pretty close to freezing. If you do seed, I would not water them in, let nature do it.
I do not recognize that "omega". What is it made of????
I'm not 100% sure, but I think when I see that it is fish eggs? Its just a guess, but I only ever see it where I see all the little tiny fish.
Pure snake facing the camera.
:) Lol
